Dublin extended a real cead mile failte to our General Leadership team Sisters Rosario, Belen and Marcela when they arrived to spend a few days with our Sisters in Ireland and celebrate the wonderful work that takes place on our campus in Stillorgan. Perhaps the highlight of their visit was meeting the staff and pupils of our Primary and Secondary Schools. In the Primary School the Sisters were welcomed by traditional music and a wonderful display of Irish dancing while in the secondary school the Headgirls and members of the student council briefed them on the day to day life of a Secondary School. In addressing the staff Sister Rosario spoke of how the fundamental principles of Pope Frances global pact on Education inform the life and vision of the school. These include placing the child at the heart of the life of the school, being inclusive, working in close partnership with parents and constantly seeking new ways of measuring success. Our chapel, which -like all chapels of the Institute- is a centre of Eucharistic worship and Adoration, as well as daily Mass, is a place of prayer for many in our wider community proved a beautiful gathering place for friends and sisters to meet and pray thanking God for all the blessings which he continues to bestow on our mission in Dublin.
